The group shares knowledge, and discusses personal experiences of practical ways that we can reduce our individual and collective impacts on the environment. No special expertise is required, our conversations are intended to be of interest to all members, at all levels.
Each month we discuss a different topic and compile our ‘Ten Top Tips’ for members, to be published in the Forum newsletter. Topics could include water and flooding, energy generation, domestic heating systems, soils and gardens, travel and transport, spending and saving, public health and food choices, depending on members’ interests.
Meetings are held on Zoom for the most part, particularly in winter months, to minimise car use. We may hold quarterly face-to-face meetings at the Witham in Barnard Castle, or elsewhere – to be advised.
