“You teach me today and I will teach you tomorrow”. This is the slogan of the u3a organisation. The slogan helps to explain the original philosophy of u3a (University of the Third Age). u3as are not-for-profit, self-help, self-managed, lifelong learning co-operatives for mature people no longer in full time work, providing opportunities for their members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun. There are no age restrictions.
Teesdale u3a is here to encourage you to:
Share your skills and interests with other members;
Develop new skills and interests by learning from other members;
Engage in learning as a leisure activity – we are learning for enjoyment and satisfaction, not for qualifications;
Make new friendships;
Widen your social circle and your horizons.
Teesdale u3a is a Registered Charity – Number 1176746
