Rotary Fundraiser for Teesdale YMCA Homelessness Projects

On Friday 29th November, Barnard Castle Rotary are holding a fundraising event with all proceeds being donated to Teesdale YMCA homelessness projects.

Rachel Dyne, Operations Director of Teesdale YMCA said, “Often unnoticed, homelessness is a serious problem for many young people. The reasons for their predicament are many but include family breakdown, financial difficulties, changes in circumstances and physical or mental health difficulties. We are supporting young people across Teesdale, while addressing and seeking solutions to the issue of housing needs.”

Entertainment will be provided by the highly acclaimed Emma Fisk’s Hot Club du Nord gypsy jazz quartet. Featuring British Jazz Awards Nominee Emma Fisk on violin, they bring to life the classic 1930s and 40s repertoire of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s Hot Club de France. There will also be a raffle and auction conducted by auctioneer Simon Nixon.
