New – Climate Change Discussion Group

The group plans to share knowledge, and discuss personal experiences, of practical ways that we can reduce our individual and collective impacts on the environment.  No special expertise will be required, our conversations are intended to be of interest to all members, at all levels.

Each month we will discuss a different topic and compile our ‘Ten Top Tips’ for members, to be published in the Forum newsletter.  Topics could include water and flooding, energy generation, domestic heating systems, soils and gardens, travel and transport, spending and saving, public health and food choices, depending on members’ interests.

Meetings will be held on Zoom for the most part, particularly in winter months, to minimise car use.  It may also be possible to hold quarterly face-to-face meetings at the Witham in Barnard Castle, or elsewhere – to be advised.

The first meeting is planned for 3rd February 2022 and future meeting will take place on the first Thursday of each month.
